Winarso Padjdjajaran University researchers said the marijuana plants could be used as raw material for textiles. According to him, tree crops marijuana as the world's leading industrial commodities.

"Because we know that marijuana can be used as a raw material of textile, such as rope, paper," said Winarso on the sidelines of a demonstration on Monument Circle Ganja Farmer Archipelago, Central Jakarta, Saturday (05/07/2011).

Besides, he adds, marijuana seeds and oils contained in them can also be used as medical materials. "From the medical side also can be used to kill cancer cells. This is the result of research from outside (the country)," he explained.

He revealed that he is collecting a variety of results of research on marijuana for the booked. "We are collecting literature on research to legalize marijuana, whether for medical or industrial purposes. Creating a book of scientific argument," he said.

Winarso also expose, the cannabis plant research institutions have endorsed the government. But until now there is no cooperation with government investigators party. "It's been passed from the ministries of health 2010. We do not involve the government in this research," said Winarso.

Meanwhile, the traditional, ordinary Acehnese people using cannabis leaf as part of the spices to flavor dishes.
